RunPundit once lived on a slow, ageing WordPress site. One of our own runners quietly rebuilt it from scratch on modern technology, not for a fee, but as a gift of gratitude to the community that gave them the joy of running.
A Labour of Love
Every morning, long before the city wakes, Coach Vikas and the team are already at Agara Lake, lacing up beside runners of every age and ability. For years, though, the website that carried their work to the world never quite matched the heart behind it. An old WordPress site, slow to load and tiring to maintain, quietly holding them back.
One of the runners who found their stride here happens to build websites for a living. They knew, in their own legs and lungs, exactly what RunPundit had given them. Better health. Calmer mornings. A community that came to feel like family. And so they decided to give it back the only way they truly knew how, through their craft.
Over many quiet late nights, they rebuilt the entire website from the ground up on Next.js, the same modern technology behind some of the fastest websites in the world. Every line written out of gratitude, never for a fee.
There was no invoice and no catch. Only love for a community, turned into something that helps even more people lace up, take their first step, and discover just how good running can make them feel.
